The blink-and-you-miss-it policy bombshell of New Mexico’s summer arrived on July 13, when the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s staff released the “final environmental impact statement [EIS] for Holtec International’s application for a license to construct and operate a consolidated interim spent nuclear fuel storage facility in Lea County, New Mexico.”
