It's Time for Eddy

Dear SCC Member,

This campaign is short yet vital to the health and well-being, dare I say, survival of the conservative voice in New Mexico.  I am declaring for Republican Party Chairman.

As you all can see I am supported by Pastor Steve Smotherman of Legacy Church (Video), Gubernatorial Candidate and Brigidier General Greg Zanetti (Audio) and Owner of Calibers Louis Sanchez (Statement).

Some of you may not like me. I’m perfectly okay with that. I am not running for a congeniality title. I am running to confront the corruption, breathe life into a demoralized voter base and re-establish the values missing in our present society. 

We have literally lost everything in this State. Voting for the same structure with the same familiar people and the same strategy is another guaranteed loss. Be emotional if you wish but there is no time for tantrums, theatrics, deception and slick political rhetoric. 
Here is what is before you: 

Steve Pearce - truly a statesman but his empty promises have resulted in consistent losses. 

Robert Aragon - a clever, smooth talking attorney who is well known for dividing the party along race and heritage, including undermining the current Chair resulting in being asked to resign. 

Sarah Jane Allen - no executive experience and though she fits the “proper” image she has cost the RPBC more money (tens of thousands of dollars) than she has brought in, thus creating a financial crisis. 

I ask you, why do we continue having to vote for the lesser of the evils? We all deserve better. As do the voters. 

Let’s address some of the obvious questions. 

The DUI 
I made a mistake. I immediately took responsibility and I am changing what needs to shift in my personal life. It was an immense learning experience and wake up call. God works in mysterious ways. This event did and does not define me. It has allowed me greater focus and drive to right the wrongs in my personal life and in the political arena. You have now seen me at my worst. I did not hide. What you get with me is authenticity and honesty.  The issue has also been resolved legally. 

Some accuse me of bashing the Republican Party. I do not use my words gratuitously. I call out corruption. We MUST clean up our own house and defeat the enemy within before we can successfully fight our outside foes. 

I've lost in the past, running as a Republican but without support from the party and coming in close 2nd for party chair by 1 vote 2 years ago. You may have noticed very few people are willing to run for office in the Party. I am persistent. My children live in New Mexico. This is my home. I am willing to fight for that 

Are you? 

So there is one question SCC members need to answer for themselves, their families, their neighbors and New Mexico: 
Do you hate Eddy Aragon more or do you hate what is happening to the fabric of our State and nation more? 

It’s time to step outside the comfortable, familiar box and try something new.
