For the past half-year, one state truly deserves the award for Outstanding Performance in Unemployment.

In April, New Mexico’s jobless rate was unchanged, at 5.3 percent — the worst in the nation. Rock bottom is an “achievement” the Land of Enchantment also attained in March, February, January, December, and November.
